The Foundation works to improve the quality of life in North Central Pennsylvania through community leadership, the promotion of philanthropy, the strengthening of non-profit impact and the perpetual stewardship of charitable assets. FCFP strives to create powerful communities through passionate giving. For more information visit www.FCFPartnership.org. Susquehanna Township Supervisor Jim Surfield applied for the grant to install playground equipment in the Nisbet Municipal Park. The playground equipment will replace equipment that had to be removed several years ago due to the Township's insurance carrier deeming it unsafe for use. At a Dec. 3rd luncheon Surfield was awarded a grant of $5,000 to the township towards the cost of purchasing the playground equipment for the municipal park. Surfield said the equipment would be installed by the township. The equipment will be installed during the Spring of 2019. Surfield stated the youth of the township will benefit greatly from this grant. It will give them a safe and enjoyable place to play during the summer months and weekends. The Susquehanna Township Supervisors and township residents would like to thank the "Pearls with a Passion fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania" for this generous grant.
